Loomis Library to Present “A Month of Remembrance” to Recognize the 80th Anniversary of the Japanese-American Internment

A Series of Events Chronicling the impact internment had on the Loomis Basin Community

February 19th, 2022 will mark the 80th anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066, which ordered the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II. To honor the occasion, and to honor the many members of the Loomis Basin Community who were interred during this time, the Loomis Library & Community Learning Center has decided to mark the occasion with “A Month of Remembrance” –  a series of events to tell the story of the impact internment had on our community.

All events are free and will be held at the Loomis Library & Community Learning Center with the exception of the panel discussion which will be held at the Blue Goose in Loomis.
