What: Immigration in Placer County – “Educate to Advocate Forum”
When: Saturday, April 6, 9am to 2pm
Where: First United Methodist Church of Loomis, Fellowship Hall
We welcome allies and partners of “Placer People of Faith Together” and all concerned community members to learn about the immigration reality and to advocate for immigrant justice in our community. The intent of this program is to dispel the myths about historical aspects of migration, immigration law, and processes, as well as the everyday impact on local people. We will hear from local immigrants about their struggles and triumphs navigating the immigration, naturalization, or asylum processes.
Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by April 3 so we can ensure adequate accommodations.
