Dear Church Family,
As you probably know, Covid cases are on the rise in our community. Placer County has a 10.8 percent positivity rate as of yesterday, which is quite high. In light of this high positivity rate and Covid exposures and positive tests among church members, we are temporarily suspending most in-person activities on campus, including worship, until further notice. This was a difficult decision, however, we want to be proactive in the interest of public health and safety. While the Omicron variant is highly contagious, it appears to be less severe than the Delta variant for those who are vaccinated. Nonetheless, we will continue to monitor the positivity rate in our community and resume in-person activities when it feels safe to do so.
That being said, the Food Pantry will remain open, the Senior Life-Center will serve to-go lunches, and starting this Sunday worship will be online. As always, we pray for your safety and health during these difficult and frustrating times. We will keep you informed as the situation changes and appreciate your patience and your prayers. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Pastor Alison or Church Council Convener, Judy Linder. In the meantime, please use KN95 masks in public. They seem to be most effective against the Omicron variant. They are also reusable.
Stay safe and know that you are always in our thoughts and prayers.
