Loomis Food Pantry
FUMCL operates the Loomis Food Pantry that provides shelf stable, refrigerated and frozen foods to families in need who reside in Placer County.
Food can be obtained by coming to the Pantry located at 6414 Brace Rd., Loomis, Ca, Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 1:00pm. The Food Pantry is located down a short drive way to the left of the main buildings. (Follow the signage) We are using a personal shopping model rather than providing pre-filled bags of food. This gives our clients complete control on the type of food that they receive based on their family’s preference and our current inventory.
Placer Co. residents are 97% of our demand with 3% coming from Sacramento Co. Rocklin families receive 30% of the food, with Loomis receiving 24%, Roseville receiving 21% and Auburn receiving 7%, The other 18% goes to Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Colfax, Granite Bay, Lincoln, Newcastle and Penryn.
We do request a picture I.D. and a registration form to be filled out on your first visit to the Loomis Food Pantry. We will then enter your information into our FoodBank Mgr. computer system. This helps us with our reporting requirements for the Feeding the Foothills Food Bank and the USDA food assistance programs.
